Fun op TwentTrack

Dat TwentTrack plezier oplevert is al lang duidelijk. Leeftijd speelt geen rol - hooguit bij de afstelling van de slot.it regelaar: LN, dipswitches 0/0 en met de blauwe knop de maximale snelheid instellen, zodat de slotcars heel blijven.

It's clear: TwentTrack means fun. Disregard of age, accept maybe for the settings of the controller (for kids a special setting to save the cars)

Op een trapje, met "tante" er achter om te voorkomen dat het kind in het trapgat valt...

En dan deze heer: helemaal uit de USA. Deze collega op dienstreis in Almelo - geen liefhebber van reizen, maar het moet nu eenmaal af en toe. Hij vraagt me regelmatig hoe het met de racebaan gaat en volgt het blog ook. Daarom heb ik hem maar eens uitgenodigd.


And than this gentleman, all the way from the US of A. This colleague on an obligatory business trip to Almelo is a regular follower of my slotracing activities. Hence the invitation to give it a try on TwentTrack.

Je ziet aan de beweging van Matt's hoofd dat de concentratie groot is. Getest werden de Ninco Callaway, de bekende Dallara, de Ford P68 - gek hoe beter de auto hoe gemakkelijker het ging. Uiteindelijk met de Ascari A10 een lage 6.3 neergezet. Niet gek als je in acht neemt dat ik de avond erna maximaal een 5.5. reed. En dat voor de eerste poging tot slotracen, met ook nog eens een flinke jet lag.

By the movements of Matt's head you can tell the concentration. Several cars were tested, amongst which the Ninco Callaway, the infamous Dallara and the P68 - it showed that the better the car the better the results. In the end we saw a low 6.3 second laptime. Not bad considering this was his first ever jet-lagged attempt.
